How does Invisalign work?
Clear aligners are popular with adults because they provide a discreet way to straighten your teeth. They look somewhat like a mouthguard, but the plastic is see-through and the material is engineered to be ultra-thin for comfort whilst also being ultra-strong to move your teeth into a new position.

Combining Treatments with Invisalign
Invisalign may be used as part of a combined treatment, where your teeth need to be straightened prior to having further dental treatment completed.
There are a lot of options, and at your consultation and Smile Test Drive we will consult with you to ensure we understand your specific needs, your budget, how quickly you need your new smile, and any other factors that may impact the treatment plan we recommend.
Combined treatments might include using clear aligners with dental veneers to reshape or resize your teeth once they’ve been moved into a more favourable position.
For example, some gappy teeth are simply too small, and even if you moved their position, there would still be gaps between the teeth. In such a case, we would look at using veneers to make your teeth bigger and design a new smile that suits you.

I’ve lived in Ballarat since 2006, serving the people of Ballarat in my own practice for over a decade.
I have worked under the mentorship of industry-leading dentists in both small and large practices, helping to restore my patient’s smiles.
Since graduating 19 years ago, I have fallen in love with the combination of providing healthcare while meticulously planning the finer details of smile makeovers and orthodontics, and truly enjoy the artistic elements of designing new smiles for my patients.
