The Smile Test Drive is a unique experience we offer to our patients, where you get to literally wear a Test Drive of your new smile, temporarily attached over the top of your existing teeth.
It is also an exceptional planning tool, empowering us to provide the highest quality dental restorations for our patients. So even if you’re not specifically looking for a smile makeover, The Smile Test Drive provides comprehensive, 3D planning information to help us identify exactly what dental challenges you’re facing, and what treatment is required.

Consultation & Diagnostics
The first time you visit Smile Creative, we’ll welcome you into our studio for a private consultation, where you have an opportunity to share your story with us, and let us know what you’re trying to achieve with your smile makeover.
This is an opportunity to share any specific dental challenges you’ve faced in the past, as well as anything that might impact your treatment plan going forward.
After your private consultation, we take detailed diagnostics including 3D digital scans, diagnostic photographs, dynamic video that captures your natural facial movements, as well as 3D CBCT x-rays as required.
All of this involves state-of-the-art dental equipment that you may never have encountered before. For example, traditionally a dentist would simply use 2D x-rays to analyse the health of your teeth below the surface. But our CBCT machine allows us to see what’s going on internally within your teeth, which allows us to diagnose more comprehensively.
After your consultation, Dr Karishma collaborates with our dental laboratory to digitally design a new smile, specifically tailored to match your unique face. You see, it’s not just about the teeth. Your smile design is based on what will look natural for you. Our focus is on creating harmony between your new teeth and your natural facial features.
Some of our patients come to us because they’re concerned about the function of their teeth, not necessarily about the way they look. However, we still go through this detailed design process for two big reasons.
First, it enables us to communicate and collaborate with you in such an in-depth way, which contributes to creating positive patient experiences where you know you’ve been heard and feel empowered throughout the process.
Second, this in-depth design process empowers us as clinicians to provide more comprehensive treatment planning than traditional methods, which leads to more predictable outcomes for our patients.
Once your new smile is designed, we create a 3D Smile Mockup, ready to be attached during your next appointment.

You Test Drive Your New Smile
At your second appointment, you get to experience your new smile!
We start by temporarily attaching your 3D Smile Mockup over the top of your existing teeth. (Don’t worry, this doesn’t cause any damage.)
Once your Smile Mockup is attached, we welcome you into our professional photographic studio, where we take lots of photographs and video to capture your Smile Test Drive in action.
Then our team lovingly creates a Smile Reveal video for you, so you can see the “before and after” transformation for yourself. It can be very emotional for patients watching their Smile Reveal video, and many of our patients choose to bring someone they love along to the Smile Test Drive to enjoy this experience with them.
Now you might wonder, “Do I get to wear it home?” Unfortunately no, the Smile Mockup cannot be worn while eating or drinking, and needs to be removed before you leave Smile Creative.
You will receive a copy of your Smile Reveal video so you can show it to friends and family if you would like to share your experience with others.
There are many ways to achieve great outcomes with Smile Makeovers, and we’re here to help you find the right path forward for you. We believe in co-authoring Smile Makeovers and will provide you with honest, clear and thorough advice on how best to achieve your new smile, as well as discussing alternative options and clearly explaining the benefits and risks of each option.

Just like your natural teeth should be cared for with professional dental cleaning every six months, it’s important to maintain your Smile Makeover with regular dental care.
At Smile Creative we cherish getting to know you and helping you achieve great outcomes for your oral health, which often includes helping with the ongoing maintenance of your smile. However, if you already see another dentist for regular examinations and professional cleaning every six months, that’s a wonderful thing and you’ll never be pressured to switch practices for ongoing maintenance after your smile makeover or restoration is complete.
